Residence Introduction

Union Square Residence is a co-ed dormitory located on 13th Street in Manhattan. It is located in a prime location with access to subway lines, 1, 2, 3, A, C, E, 4, 5, 6, N, Q, R, W and the Path Train to New Jersey. 24-hour security, large-screen viewing room, library, terrace, independent bathroom in each room, toilet, gym facilities, wireless internet, and lounge are some of the amenities of the residence.

Union Square, where the dormitory is located, is one of the most preferred areas for students to live in. Numerous universities such as NYU, FIT, Parsons, SVA, Baruch, New School University, Pace, and BMCC are located nearby, so there are many students and it is safer and quieter than other areas of Manhattan. There are various stores and restaurants nearby, so it is very convenient for living.

Students living here tend to have more dormitory officials, college students, graduate schools and interns than language school students. You will have more opportunities to meet local Americans or students than dormitories operated by general language schools.

Two meals per day are provided free of charge and additional meals are available for a fee of $5 for breakfast and $10 for lunch and dinner. (Weekdays – Choice of 2 meals from breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Weekends – breakfast and lunch only)

Rules & Regulations

* Dormitory extensions must be made 30 days in advance and there is an extension penalty of $200 for extensions after that.

* If you have registered for dormitory for only 30 days, you can apply for an extension within 3 days of moving in to be exempted from the penalty.

* The dormitory fee is non-refundable after check-in, and there is a $100 change fee for changes after check-in.

* Monthly Security Deposit payment is required 2 weeks prior to arrival. If payment is not made, the reservation will be cancelled.

* When checking out, you must visit the housing office and fill in the credit card form to receive the Security Deposit refund.

* Security Deposit will be returned after checking the condition of the room after check-out. If damage is confirmed, a fee may be required.

* Security Deposit will be refunded through the card information filled out upon check-out, and refund will be made within 45 days of filling out.

* Refunds may be delayed if you do not fill out the credit card form or if there is incorrect information.

* Smoking in the dormitory and lodging by outsiders are prohibited.

* Dormitory check-in is after 3pm, and check-out must be before 10am.
